YB Tuan Ahmad Fahmi Bin Mohamed Fadzil is a Malaysian new generation leader who is presently the Minister of Communications. He is now serving his second term as Member of Parliament for the Lembah Pantai constituency. Born in 1981, Fahmi Fadzil graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering (BSChE) from Purdue University in Indiana, USA.
Upon assuming his role at the Ministry, he faced the challenges of tackling the issues of internet coverage in rural areas and the implementation of 5G network in Malaysia as well as overseeing the shift from a Single-Wholesale Network to a Dual-Network approach for 5G rollout.
Other than telecommunications, the Ministry is also responsible for postal services, broadcasting, and creative industry.
Prior to entering politics, he was an award-winning theatre practitioner and writer.
