Dato' Ong Bee Leng Chief Executive Officer, PWDC
Bee Leng is currently the Chief Executive Officer of Penang Women’s Development Corporation, which strives to mainstream gender into key policies, programmes and practices of the public sector, as well as, creating platforms for women empowerment in the aim to narrow the gender gaps. Bee Leng has been in the education and training industry for over 37 years. She has served in the public and private sectors of the industry in various capacities, which enabled her to gain invaluable experiences in organisation excellence, business growth, sales achievement, operations optimisation, and quality programme delivery. Driven by her passion in people development, she was actively involved with MyLeaD, an NGO, in organising the International Federation of Training & Development Organizations (IFTDO) Conference. Additionally, she had served in the Malaysian Territorial Army Regiment for more than 10 years as Commissioned Army Officer. During her free time, she likes to visit places, surf the internet, and catch up with family and friends over coffee.
